Sudoku Tips for addicts
from: Wira Nuradli
Sudoku is one game that is very different than any other board games that one has played before. This doesn't involve counting a lot or jumping from one point to the other. All it takes is some logical reasoning to make this work.
When people see the game for the first time, one might underestimate the competition. Some may think that putting one number on this box is no big deal but there is more to it than that.
Beginners should learn all the terms and rules of the game. It will be embarassing playing with those who are already aware even if some give the newbie the benefit of the doubt. One of the basic rules is only using the number once both horizontally and vertically in the 9x9 grid which will take some time to master.
The game usually begins with a set of numbers already on the board. The player can't erase this so it is best to assess the situation first since these numbers appear randomly at the beginning of each match.
The first will be to look at the board. The game will get more difficult as more numbers are there. Before the player decides to put a digit, perhaps it is best to put it on scratch to make sure the layout is set. This is what some call doing the process of elimination.
When the person has done that is ready to plot the next digit, some people suggest players to double check first to make sure no mistakes are made. This is something surely a student heard in math class doing word problems since some teachers will not give credit even if the solution was correct.
Learning the rules is very theoretical. In order to understand, it will be a good idea to watch how others play to be able to understand everything better. Afterwards, the person can play the game with the help of another player to coach during the match.
When the person, it is time to move up another skill level in the game. The player can read of new tactics to employ such as those found in books and in the internet to be able to get better with more advanced players in the matches.
Most sudoku games start with many possible options in the beginning. This gets smaller as the game goes on.
Sudoku is very different than any other game because the real competition is only with the player. The only way a person can claim to be better than others will depend on how fast it is to solve the grid compared to other people.
A good player can finish this in less than half an hour while those who are just starting out will probably be able to accomplish the same thing in a few days.
There are two things that people should remember when playing Sudoku. The first will be to practice as often as possible. The game can start in many ways but only end with a single solution.
The second will be to always stay cool. Panicking will not make the game any easier for those who don't know what to do.
People who excel in this game didn't learn everything overnight so everyone goes through the same face a little faster or slower than others to be one of the best in the game.
